Moony

Do you ever think how Moony felt when he got on the Hogwarts Express and fell asleep on an empty compartment all alone, then waking up to see his best mate’s son?

It’s no secret that Remus Lupin is beloved by every Potterhead out there. By far, the best Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor.

It really makes me curious how Remus felt during ‘Prisoners of Azkaban’. When Remus was teaching Harry how to cast a patronus, it had taken Jame’s animagus form (which was a stag.)

“That was quite some Patronus” said a voice in Harry’s ear. Harry turned around to see Professor Lupin, who looked both shaken and pleased. (PoA. pg. 263)

Harry’s patronus had taken the shape of the animagus who went through his changing every month.

The patronus that had helped him survive his entire Hogwarts life.

The patronus that James learned just for his sake.

Imagine how Remus felt, whenever he saw Harry. Imagine how he wanted to tell Harry so much the things that James did for him. How he loved Harry so much. How he felt like moments like that reminded him of James. Imagine how much he wanted to tell Harry about their era. The Marauder’s Era.

But he didn’t. He never said a word.

Because Remus knew that Harry needed Professor Lupin, not Uncle Moony
